I cant explain how much I love my husband. He is an Awesome father. He works hard and gives us anything that we want without question. He is my best friend. He is the person that I see myself growing old with. He has taught me that no matter what we have in life, we will always have each other and that is what counts.

Rudy's Softball League just started back up. Its now, practices every Saturday and Games every Monday.

Alexandrea just started Softball as well. She is on the "SOONERS" team. Yes i am not happy with it. I am a die hard LONGHORN fan. But She loves being on a team and this is the first Sport that she has EVER played. So we will be excited for her and make the best of it ♥ ( Even though her coaches are NOT what I expected).. She has practice every Tues. and Thurs. and games on Saturdays. She has been missing practice due to the rain, so she hasnt been able to really play. I give her about 2 weeks before she quits.

Rylee and Alex both got their report cards. Alex is A honor Roll + perfect attendance and Rylee is also doing great. No grades for him yet as he is still in Pre-K. Alex also got a postcard in the mail from her teacher. If you read it you can see as to why. :D

We saw Alice in Wonderland in 3D the day it came out. We LOVED it. I even caught Rudy laughing and smiling the whole way through. Rylee held my hand and asked me during the movie if he was being good.. He did excellent and that is definately a movie that we would buy.

School Volunteering!! I have been volunteering for Rylees school for some time now. The past few weeks I have been helping with picture retakes,ident a kid, making 800 registration packets, info for parents and festival details for Rylee's school and Book Fair info at Alex's School as well as Open House. I love helping them and I love even more how involved I am with my kids at school. I like knowing what is going on and how things work.

So you are now caught up.I hope that you understand as to why I have been gone for so long. Things should get slower around here and I will definately be posting alot more! So keep checking back! Have a great week!

Valentines was great. My hubby never lets me down and I love him more than ever. He got me an Xbox .360 of my OWN, we have every game system known to mind, but I was tired of sharing the 360:D He also got me a cute card and a Dear John book as well as new bedding..

MY BIRTHDAY! I turned the big 25 on the 22nd. My birthday was on a Monday and we had just gotten back from the Lubbock Trip, so we couldnt do much. When we got back My husband and his family had a lunch for me and gave me sweet Owl gifts and lots of $$!(They know me so well)
It was a great Birthday!

My mom turned 47 on the 26th. We didnt get to see her ON her birthday but spent time with her on my birthday weekend!She did however send me pics!

NEW YEARS!! We spent it in San Angelo. Rudy had a migraine so we stayed in. We played games and ordered pizza. It was nice!

Rylee turned 5!!He is getting to be such a big boy. He had a Family Party @ Bonkers.He had tons of fun and got LOTS and LOTS of LEGOS!!

We visited Santa!
My daughter went to her aunts Symphony as her yearly tradition.

We went out of town for our Xmas break, the kids wanted to stay with their grandparents for a week, which gave us perfect time to get these..
THESE are our Christmas Gifts to the kids. I wanted only ONE, however my hubby wanted TWO and they were the last ones, so he just couldnt BEARRRRR to seperate them.. Duke is Rylee's. Duchess is Alex's. On our way HOME from getting them, my car broke down and we spent the night in my car till AAA arrived.. So the first 6hours of being OURS they were cooped up in a car and were PERFECT angels!!

Christmas was spent with Rudys family. ToysRUS was parked underneath the tree!

My theme once again was Birds and Butterflies, no surprise there huh!

NOvember:
I had another doctors appt. Baby looked fine and was right on time. However I wasnt feeling to great. Slight cramping, but i figured it was the miles of walking we did at Nascar. Rescheduled..

Once again I went in and they said baby was still visible,but will call me back in a week later to make sure I was still ok. Rescheduled once again.

Nov.10th Alexandrea turned the big 8!! We had a craft party @ Joanns Fabric Store. It was soooo much fun and she wants to do it again next year!!

On NOv. 18th I was told that I miscarried. I was 8 1-2 weeks pregnant and only measuring at 6. It was hard on both of us, especially bc my husband already picked out a name. It was our FIRST planned pregnancy and obviously it was not what God had intended for us. ( I will blog more about this at a later day)

On Nov.20th I had my D&C and recovery took about 2wks for me to get back to normal (emotionally more than physically). I was later told that I miscarried due to a Partial Molar Pregnancy.

Thanksgiving: We spent it in Ozona TX with my husbands family.

So I have been absent from the blogging world for quite some time now.These past few months have been Fun,Busy, Sad, Stressful Happy,Depressing and Loving all at the same time. Lots of stuff has happened, so let me catch you up!!

October:
I was feeling extremely tired and just "Not Right".. We Found out we were pregnant on the 4th and made a dr's appt..

Went to a Nascar Racing event. My Husband won a package by character recognition. (He's an excellent worker) :D We are not huge Nascar fans, but it was nice to get out and enjoy ourselves.We had police escort to the races. We had a meet n greet with David Ragan (UPS driver). Lots of free food,prizes and got to watch the races in really great seats!

Halloween!
My son was a Swat guy and Alexandrea was a punk pirate!THey looked adorable and we had so much fun going by ourselves this year!

Make your OWN playdough!!

So I started to volunteer at my sons school. I really like his school, so really its not "WORK", its more getting out of the house and learning more about his teachers, principals and school in general.
Last week we made play dough for the teachers classrooms. It was so much fun that I came home to do it with My kids. I enjoyed watching them help and they loved every minute of it, especially getting more playdough.
So.. Here is the recipe we used. It is super easy and Only takes a few minutes.

Ingredients:

3 cups water
3 cups flour
1 1/2 cups salt
3 tsp. vegetable oil
6 tsp cream of tartar
food coloring
scented oil (if you choose), i opted out but it could smell better!!

Directions:

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Stir continuously until lumps are mostly gone
Once well blended, Heat all ingredients in a saucepan, slow to medium heat.
Stir continuously. The dough will begin to thicken until it resembles mashed potatoes.
Once dough is at the consistency you want, remove from heat. Turn the dough out onto a clean counter,pan, or silicone mat,let cool and knead vigorously until it becomes silky-smooth.
*Store in an airtight container or baggie.

Easy Peasy!! Let me know if you make some and how it comes out!! I think this would be a great party favor idea!! Package them in baggies with cute labels.

Biopsy...

So as long as I can remember I have always had "Cycle" issues. So after months and months of not wanting to deal with it, I went to get checked. I had a Pap done and she said that my symptoms seem like endometriosis but that everything looked fine.. She put me on B.Control to see if it would help with my symptoms and I would get a call only if something was wrong....a few weeks later.. Friday to be exact.. I got that call. They said that my results came back Abnormal and that I need to get a Biopsy done on my cervix as soon as possible. So ..My appt. is tomorrow...

Now, I have to say that Im not very surprised at my results coming back abnormal.All of my aunts on my moms side Including my mom have all had to have a hysterectomy before the age of 30.Im just stressed and hoping that it all works out and that it is nothing too serious. Maybe Im just being a little over the top about this. But One can only worry, right?

So Ive been sitting in bed for the past two days.. Wanta know why?? Hmm.. Lets see because night before Last I woke up with my tonsils and ear on FIRE and that little thingy that hangs down is the size of a freakin pear!Lets Just call him Earl!

I feel like "EARL" is also biting and eating me from the inside out. I dont think I have ever been in soo much pain.
So i go to the Doctor Asap Thursday Morning and the doc says that more than likely it is strep and then proceeded to give me an antibiotic that MAY OR MAY NOT WORK.. and to just take benadryl and gargle water with salt.. AHHHHH...He also took a culture and said results wouldnt be in for a few days.. grr.. I could just slap him.

I have yet to sleep a full night sleep. i have been up EVERY hour, I am drooling like an infant and I cant eat or drink ANYTHING without wanting to Cry and scream afterwards because It feels like Im going to swallow that darn thing that hangs down!!!!!!!
So..Anyhoot... If anyone has had this before and something you did actually worked.. PLEASE.. PLEASE... tell me what it is, because I dont think my family can handle any more of me doing sign language that doesnt make sense and sounding like a deaf person.

My parents are coming tomorrow to hopefully take over the house so i can rest. So hopefully by Monday I am all better... HOPEFULLY!!!!

SO.. Im not sure if any of you know this but. I am the baby of 4 kids.. I have 3 older Brothers who are 27,28 and 29. They are almost exactly a day, month and year apart.

Mark: 10-14-1980
Luke 11-15-1981 ...then of course me almost 4 years later!

So.. Anyhoot: Today is Davids 30th Birthday. He is the oldest and he is by far the funniest and craziest one of us all!!He is such a smart person and I wish the best for him in everything that he does!

So we just got back Monday night from out weekend trip. We went to Ballinger for our Family Reunion. It was a 50's style and it came out great. My 2nd Grader!!

So. My earlier post was about how Rylee started Pre-K. Well, Not only did that happen, but my Oldest started 2nd grade!! I feel like she is all grown up!

Alex Loves it already (Big Shocker there) and she really likes her teacher. She has gotten pretty lucky though. Every year of her schooling, she has gotten a "First Yr.teacher" , so they are usually a tad nicer.

It seems that she has gained more friends this year and even some that we might have to watch...First week of school She came home with her first "note from a boy". Her daddy was not happy about that at all. I can just imagine her now, in High School with her daddy walking her to class.. Not a pretty picture.. for her.. :D

Anyhoot, she is doing great and we are excited for what 2nd grade will bring!

Well, it has come. Monday was the day that my baby started school. Rylee is only 4 but I wanted him to be more sociable with kids, better at sharing and learn more than what I can teach him. Yes, some people think that Pre-K is a waste of time and YES maybe he is young for school.Yes I teared up when I dropped him off the first day. Yes this makes him no longer my baby but a big boy.. BUT.. Guess what? This is what we chose and so far he LOVES it! No, he doesnt love waking up in the morning and NO he doesnt love that I wont let him wear his favorite shoes every day. BUT.. HE LOVES SCHOOL. He comes home singing songs, he tells me what he learned and he tells me that he cant wait till tomorrow.. Well, that is EXCEPT for this morning, when he semi-pouted because he wanted to sleep longer! SO, in the end, I am happy that he is learning from other people. Im Happy that he gets to have time to himself and not be stuck with momma all day. Im happy that he will be ready for Kindergarten next year. And Im happy that I get 3 free hours every morning for my errands and Alone time. :D
We are both happy and that is what counts!!

I am SOOO STOKED! I have always wanted to dress up in a good ol'poodle skirt :D So what do you think? Which outfit do You like from the 50's and should I make the outfit or buy one??? Also, our colors are red and black! :D

Baby Mum Gift!!!

So for my Sister in Laws last baby. "Sofia"- see pics below..
I decided not to buy her a gift but to make her one. This was her last baby and I wanted to make it special.

I've already made a diaper cake for her last baby, so i decided to make a door mum..

I knew this could get expensive. So i made sure to buy EVERYTHING half off. I already had some of the ribbon and glue gun, staples,and rhinestones.. So all I had to buy was the stuff to put ON the mum. Here is what I used...
What I used:
Stork Wind Sock 4.99- not half off
Pink Ribbon with polka dots 2.50
Pink shiny bead necklaces 2.99
Sweet Dreams & Its a girl signs 3.00 for both
Booties, Safety Pins 2.00 for both
Pacifiers 1.99 not on sale
Pink Baby Bottle 0.99cents
White Bow- 0.99
braided ribbon- 2.00 for both
cardboard and white fabric to cover (behind storks head for stability)
Pink Glitter stickers - not pictured. for name and weight.

I used cardboard to trace the storks body for stability and wrapped with white fabric so you wouldnt see the brown. I stapled the STORK windsock First since I wanted to work around him.
I then added all the ribbon and hung the small items off of the necklaces and stapled under the stork.
I made small bows to go on the small signs for more color. When i was done hanging and placing everything where I wanted I just super glued feathers around the Bow for more color! Here it is BEFORE the feathers and stickers

On the day of the birth I went and got Pink Glitter stickers to put name, birth day and weight on the ribbon.
Here is the after picture!

It was fairly easy and it only cost me 30.00 .
When I took it to the hospital, the nurses fell in love with it! She was very happy when she saw it and it now hangs on the babys door at home. In the end, I think it was worth it!
Dont be afraid to Give it a try and be sure to let me know how they turn out!!

Sofia Carina Romo.. My new Niece..

She was born on July 24th @ 2:52pm
She was 6lbs.7oz and 18 1/2in long..

Her brother & sister. Cristian & Gabriella, They were SUPER excited to have her home!

We are very blessed to have such a great addition to the family and I cant wait to spend more time with her as she gets older!

Luvin my Wii Fit!!!

So.. I was a little bias on the Wii Fit. I mean, its a game, a CONSOLE.. and it could help you lose weight.. HMM...

So hubby asked If I wanted one, that he would do it with me.. Plus since the kids are gone it would give me a good time to start without the distractions. So i said ok.. (see me and my hubby)

I did EVERY SINGLE GAME on the Wii Fit and woke up SORE this morning. Not just sore. BUt SOooooOOOREEE, like when you laugh it hurts sore. I didnt realize how many muscles that I DONT use..

I got on again today.. and it already tells me im losing weight.. I think it just told me that So i would keep coming back!! :D

Does anyone else have a Wii Fit and how do you like it??

Great Resale Find!!

On our way home from eating on Saturday I made the hubster drop me off at a local Resale shop.. I told him he could pick me up in an hour.. Since he is always rushing me!!

IM SOO glad I did because this is what I found!!!!

They need a good coat of paint!!! BUT..
The set was a whopping 3.92!! Beats 149.00 @ Pottery Barn!!!
I dont like the tiki faces, which you can barely notice, but im hoping that where i put them up you wont be able to notice.. AND if it bugs me that much I will just turn them around and voila!Problem Solved!

Heres a few other little things I found..

A Lazy Susan, which if i dont use for its normal purpose I will make into a craft area for kids.. Drill tin buckets on top for their markers and colors!
Magnets!! You can use these for everything, so i had to get them.
More clips-magnets to go with my other pier 1 set.
Tin Stars which i Plan to use in my plants for decor!
And the cute frame, not sure if im going to repaint that yet..

So in all I think it was a great stop!!

So kiddos have been gone having their summer fun with grandmas..
Which means we are all on vacation.

I have:
been catching up on housework
shopping
Taking lots of naps
reading books
learning how to sew
watching fireworks
getting in shape and
having TONS of dates with my husband.
So far a great summer!

I have been SLOWLY doing my projects but I promise they will be done by the end of the week!! DO come by tomorrow to see All of my new items and Thrift Finds!!

Thursday Junk Party

Kennesha over @ Me & My House is hosting a JUNK PARTY!! She has BEAUTIFUL Re-Do's and Im Happy to Join in!

So within this week, Hubby and I both had car issues.. Luckily, I still had JUNK to show you that havent been repurposed yet. That will come next week!! Luckily our cars are now fixed, so you bet ill be looking for stuff this coming wknd!!!!!

1- dresser that I bought for 25.00, it was a steal considering its Real Wood and VERY heavy, drawers are still in good shape and after a sanding and painting will look new!!

2- Stool that I bought for $1.00, Im not sure what the Slit on top is for, but i plan on painting and using it in the kids bathroom!!

3. The next two are Chairs that I was going to throw out, but instead decided on keeping them. The Rocker my daughter had when she was little, the arm is now falling out and I had to go buy a new seat cushion because the original was dingy. The other chair, had a foam filled cover on it but doesnt suit the room. Im hoping when i get my sewing machine I can redo a cover for it, but until then I can only paint it and wait...

4. Not a find, but a Cheap do.. I bought these magnet strips @ Ikea for 99cents!!
I have some for both kids on each side of the room. I also put one above our computer desk to hold bills, pics, love notes etc.. I replaced my daughters pics with her art...

So last week I went garage saleing looking for a dresser, I got there 5minutes too late and it was sold.. BUT.. she gave me her info saying she had another one for sale and it was antique..50years old and STILL in great shape and VERY heavy!! my kind of dresser :D... So
Here it is!!
Im still figuring out how im going to paint it and if i should keep the drawer pulls or add knobs. What do you think??? It is going in the kids room.

ALSO: Here is the next book im going to read after "My sistes Keeper".

Weekend Recap & Sewing Machine ??.....

So the hubby and I had a great weekend! We went to speedzone with some friends and had a blast! We rode the cars and played putt putt. I felt like i was on a mini date! Here's a pic of the hubby.. he was VERY determined

We had a good time and hopefully we can go again soon. This time without getting bumped by people and almost running off the track :D

We also went to our friends house yesterday. They are moving back to the Philippines soon and wanted to make us dinner. She made shrimp, eggrolls, steak and white rice. She makes DELISH fooood! She taught me how to make eggrolls a while back. I will have to blog a tutorial on that soon!!

Anyhoot.. IM looking into getting a sewing machine but havent used or even looked at one since I was in High School. Do any of you have a sewing machine and which one do you think I should get? I was thinking of this one: Singer Confidence 7463

What do you think? Is it worth the money and would it be easy enough to use for a beginner?? Any help would be great!!

I wanted to read it before i watched the movie.I started reading lastnight and couldnt put it down! I like that each chapter is from a diffrent persons view. Although it is heartbreaking it keeps you reading it. I will keep you updated!

My hubby wanted to know if i could send some of my bookmarks to the ladys & Boss at work. Ive met a couple of them before and said SUREEE.. They are very nice and even though they try to steal my husband for his knowledge I think they deserve a "Happy Summer" gift.. HE wanted me to just put them in a bag and he could hand them out.. but knowing me.. well, I couldnt let him do that...

I didnt have small gift bags, so i had to make do with what I had..

What i used:
Bookmart & earrings- I bought these SUPER cheap the other day. ANy mini gift will work
Tulle,gift bags,or tissue paper
Paint pens or markers- to write their name and note
Tags- to write the note on.. I put "Have a Great Summer" opposite of their name
ribbon- to tie them all together

and here is what it looked like when done...
It's not much and it look me a whole minute per person, but it should bring a smile to their face! That is unless they dont read or wear earrings, but who doesnt?

Anyhoot- I found me a new friend.. I LURVEEE HIM!

The Little Things...

My husband is very quiet and just a manly guy. He usually doesnt "talk" about his feelings but he said something to me that was soo sweet.

Yesterday on our way home..
He said "Babe, you are my best friend and I love you" - This just made my day because it was just soo unexpected at that moment!
Tonight he said.. "Babe, Do i ever tell you that Im happy with you?" I said, uhm.. not straight out... he said "Well, I am very happy to have you and everything you do for me"

I think everyone needs to hear something like that every now and then. I know i do! I think we both take eachother for granted sometimes and just hearing those little things makes you feel like you're doing something right!

Great Deals and Makeovers!!

So this past weekend I went garage saleing.. thrift store shopping.. and spray painting crazy!! Heres a look at what i found.. repurposed...and.. what I painted...

In my bathroom I added this..

This was a umbrella holder that was outside, I used it to hold the YEARS old flowers that I had above my armoire. Its a bunch of tulips mixed in with a batch of tulips that light up. Heres an idea of what it looks like when its dark in there!

Garage Sale Finds...
I got this set, new in box for $3.00.

I got TWO of these little outside tables for $5.00 for the set!! They are rusting on the bottom but im going to try and fix that! Also... As you can see im still in the middle of Painting my two outside chairs. They were a light brown and well, thats just not my color!

I got ALL of this for only 8.00 AND that included two toys that i have no idea where they are.Plus a stationary set NEW in box. This is some Thank You cards,a file holder, Letter A initial, Magnets/clips from Pier 1, Gap organizer and a heart plate that says Lots of Love!

I got these very cute 100% Organic Cotton Pjs by Hanna Anderson for 30CENTS a piece!!!!
I got these decorative Plates $1.00 for the pair!! PLUS i already had the stands, so it was perfect!
I got this kitchen towel set for $2.00
I got this NEW candle for 50Cents with my initial.. AND these NEW bookmarks and necklaces for under 6.00!!
I bought this candle for 50Cents And painted this candle holder my mom gave me. I also painted this FAMILY sign that i bought at Dollar Tree! I think it turned out cute!
Last but not least... I painted this scroll decoration I have in my dining area. It was a copperish brown before. Now, it matches my black table!

I spy... A plane!!

So on our trips that we take back home. We ALWAYS take the back roads. There are more restroom stops, more towns to visit AND its just calmer.. Atleast thats what I think...

On these trips. The hubby and I always play games with the kids. My favorite is "The Quiet Game" :D and his favorite is "The Question Game". He asks the kids questions about animals,school,people. Its amazing how much RANDOM stuff my husband knows. For instance an average question is " What is the biggest fish in the ocean?"-answer.. the SHARK.. Because a Whale is a mammal-not a fish..

Our last trip we played the Question game and I spy game. Usually we play with stuff we see in the fields,highways,cars.. But this time we played what was in the SKY..

Alex said.. "Momma, I spy a Plane".. well, I said.. Your brother already picked that one, try again.. She said, "No LOOK,This one is Different!!"

Now is that a plane.. or what??

So i am participating in the Frugal Friday Link Party over at The Shabby Nest. I didnt make anything but i repurposed something. Thats Frugal Right? Anyhoot- I LOVE looking through her link party. Everyone has such great ideas and it always helps that it was done frugally. So Skip on over there and give them a hoot!!

My daughter is always reading. If that girl isnt on the computer she has a book in her hands. Every night I have to keep asking her to give me her books so she doesnt sleep on them. Well, i FINALLY put something up to where I dont have to keep asking and she can keep her favorites nearby.

I bought these cute little bins a few years back, they were on sale for 2.00 a piece. We originally had flowers in them but everyone who came over would get them out and lose them. So i put them up in her closet. Well, they now have a new home holding her books. Lets hope it doesnt fall and hit her in the head while sleeping!!

P.S. Please ignore the crummy walls. I know i need to repaint.. that will be another day :D

One "Official" Year and still strong!

Last Friday was Our Anniversary.
Our first "Official" Anniversary. We met when I was turning 13 and he was turning 15. I loved him then and I love him even more now! He is my best friend and I dont think I could ever see myself without him. He has taught me so much more than I could even expect from myself. He is a great husband and even better father. I cant wait to live the rest of my life with him!

So a few weeks ago, my mom came to visit. Lets just say, she is the QUEEN of Garage sales and everything thrifty. Her entire house is FILLED with garage sale and resale shop finds. Well.. I on the other hand, dont have her luck. I do LOVE garage saleing and thrift shopping but dont go as often as I would like. (Have no family and friends that like to go with me around here)- and even though thats a lame excuse, i just dont like going by myself :D.. ANYHOOT..

Back to my CCA FIND... While my mom was here, i was looking for a vase.. The ones I have are either tooo long or too short or have a weird shape to them that makes me cut my flowers down to where they look goofy.. Well.. alas... I found the perfect vase!!!I had it on my bar but moved it to take pics! I am thinking of leaving it on the table, you know.. just to show hubby that its empty :D

So we got back from our week vacation in Rowena. (last week, i know im late posting)

These are the details....

*got new dogs.. aka two dogs who played with alex and never left-dad wasnt so happy

*had a yard sale-forgot camera, We had it on Friday and Saturday half day.. We had to load both trucks and drive 35miles to set up. TEDIOUS!!But we sold $550 worth in the end so that was great.. We sent the rest to Goodwill!!!

*attended a 15th birthday lunch for Nicholas! His mother past away a few yrs ago, so this is what his cake said..=-

*had mothers day lunch with Rudys family and my mom! I took her to buy the cabinet she wants in her new bathroom and I bought Rudys mom a Necklace she LOVEEED!I saw her eyeing it and had to get it for her, it looks much better in person. Erickson Beamon has GREAT jewelry @ Target!!
I got tons of cards and money(they know how picky i am).. works for me :D

* went fishing-the girls wanted to go, my daughter and niece. and they were more interested in sitting on the hill rather than fishing.. huge shocker!!

*watched the Wolverine movie with the hubster and friends-Loved IT!!

* went to play pool and darts with friends

* tore down a bathroom -bad pics but you get the drift.. it had horrible ceiling tiles, an OLD sink and cabinets and horrid green laminate flooring..It was also the laundry room, those are now in their own room :D.. i will do the updated pics when i go back next week :D

so in the end.. it was pretty fun! Tireing.. but fun

Swine Swine Go Away....Vaca here we come!

So of course everyone has heard of the Swine Flu.. I mean, what else is on the news?

Alex's school closed for the week due to "swine flu precautions". SOO... It Looks like this coming week we are going on a Unplanned Vaca..

Alex is missing my parents AND I think if we stay here all week i might just go crazy! So we are making a trip to the county.. Good ol'Rowena Tx, home of Bonnie Parker of "Bonnie and Clyde" :D.. thats right people, my home town was her hometown.. small world huh..

We are planning on visiting family.. going fishing,4wheeling,having a garage sale and remodeling one of my parents bathrooms along with painting the outside of their house... Lets see how much gets done.....I will for SURE.. take pictures! :D

Field Trip...

So today is Alex's First Grade Field Trip. Or shall i say.. First "REAL" Fieldtrip.

Last year in Kinder, they went to the Park.. The park people!! AND they had to WALK to the park, what fun is that?

Anyhoot... They are going to a Nature Center, nature trail and all. So, of course when Alex first knew about it she was THRILLLLLLED!! She is my country gal. She loves anything outside,anything with insects or animals and anything that has to do with dirt,trees and the "Environment". She is my tree hugger who only eats a vegeterian bowl @ Chipotle. No lie..

Unfortunately... I cant go help with the field trip due to no babysitter and taking my 4yr old to an OUTSIDE event for 6 hours was a NO WAY JOSE... So i opted to give her teacher my camera for the day. SHe will be taking pictures for me! YAY!

While Alex is away, I plan on adding some Field Trip decor to her Scrapbook. If i cant go, I might as well make myself useful right??

So.. its that time again.. My birthday, My moms birthday and my Dads birthday is coming up! I will be 24, My mom 46 and my dad the big 50!

I am thrilled and have already started everyones birthday plans! You see, if i dont, nothing will ever get done.. My mom works 6days a week and my dad, well.. he's a dad..

These are the days when i wished i had sisters. Having 3 brothers isnt easy by any means but its FUN and i get my own personal bodyguards!

BUT having sisters would be easier planning things, sharing clothes,shopping. you know, the usual, fun stuff.. Then i think about all the hormones and the drama and well.. i change my mind. So until i just so happen to get a make believe or fairy-god sister.., i will be CEO of All Things FUn.... WIsh me Luck! :D

My husband & His Migraine

So.. I love that my husband didnt have to work today.. BUT.. its like, he's wasnt home. Usually, on his days off he is all about family, does things with the kids, takes us out to eat, goes shopping.

.. Well, today his migraine got the best of him. He has been sleeping since this morning, its bad enough he fell asleep on the couch lastnight.But my poor hubster hasnt even been able to eat let alone get up!!

I feel really bad that he is continuously getting these, have tried to make him go to the dr to see if theres meds he can take, ive done it all.. So now at this point, im just aggravated that HE DOESNT LISTEN to me! So instead of feeling sorry for him like i ALWAYS DO... im just a lil pissy that it could of been taken care of already and our day was wasted.. Maybe im just being a lil over the top today, but geez!!!

So if anyone, ANYONE has any idea on how to heal a migraine. please send the info my way. Just remember: He is a man, he is stubborn and He thinks he Is SUperman without the costume!

So i am very late posting stuff. Ive had tons of updates and have yet to force myself to post anything at all. No writers block here, just too busy, stressed and lazy to say the least!

So.. Ending of December. wow last month of 2008..
We had Rylees 4th birthday party. We had him a Batman party and Batman HIMSELF showed up!! I was soo lucky to find this guy, he was really nice and even did it for a great price!! & He wasnt just any Batman, he was a full on Batman, 4000 dollar suit and all! Rylee was a little taken back,very emberassed, but got used to him near the end!

Other than his party.

We also found out that we are going to be an Aunt and Uncle again.. yes (Again).C'MON people i already have 9 nephews and nieces!!! I feel like everyone around me is pregnant. Lets just hope i dont drink their water!! Fingers crossed!!

Xmas was great. We stayed home this year. Hung out with the inlaws and thats about it. We were very blessed with everything we got and it was the FIRST year of us being married, so it was even more special!!

New Years we stayed home as well, we had NO KIDS PEOPLE.. NO KIDS!!! They were both with the grandparents. They left a day after Xmas and we had a kid free week. It wasnt just boring to me, being home alone, but it was sooo relaxing. I didnt have to make meals, or listen to whining. I didnt have to YELL, like im usually doing. Im trying to stop that by the way. Anyhoot. New Yrs we stayed home, did NOTHING.. Not even a single drink! Which is fine by me, cause we dont drink, but still, i mean, how lame are we? :D

January 2009 came TOO soon!! We were all sick.. yes ALL... Kids are still sick to this day. I took them to the doctor yesterday and Rylee is still congested, still has to be on breathing treatments and Alexandrea has an ear infection and viral infection. (THANKS GRANDMAS) I feel like every time they leave they come home sick. I think i need to limit that for now on!!

As far as Resolutions go... We made none. Im not good at resolutions, i tend to break everything i make. So i am just going to make Goals that hopefully i can reach!
Here is a few!!
I want to be a happier person and try not to be negative in any way!

I want to be healthier, its horrible that i weigh the same amount i did when i was pregnant!!!

I want to be a more loving mom. Im not a horrible mom, i just know i yell WAY too much!

I will try to be more independent!! Ive noticed that lately ive counted on people way too much!!

I will say I love you more.. Not only to my family, but to my parents, grandparents, brothers, etc.. I was never RAISED with that word said alot, and so im just not all Lovey Dovey like most people are. Its a horrid thing i know, but I will Try Harder!!

I will cut down on Dr.Pepper and eating out!! We eat out atleast TWICE a week and that alone is hurting our health AND our pockets!! So for now on ONCE a week if not at all! and COKES, I will limit it to half of what i usually drink! I cant just quit cold turkey, im not as brave as other people.. Me without Caffeine is like you poking a bear!! No bueno!!

That is all for now.. Im sure i will add more as i go. I am also wanting to make a Life list. a list of things i want to accomplish in my life. Whether it takes a week, months or years. I want to be able to mark stuff off of my list!!!

Party Update...

So..Alex's party was a hit!! She got LOTS of stuff she has been wanting, was very greatful for them and She had tons of friends show up. The decorations-cupcakes looked very adorable!(although i didnt get a taste, i heard they were good)

Our hostess was great.. Very helpful, even though she seemed a little stressed.. I think i scared her .. since i was wanting to know why we had started late.. I wasnt trying to be mean, just didnt want to go over our timeline.. I let her know she did a great job though :D So it was overall a great party.

Now... I just need to start on Rylees Batman party.. I already ordered his goody bags, just need to get balloons and cupcakes. He will be having his party @ the same place. He has less kids to invite, seeing that he is turning 4 and is not in school yet, so this one should be a BREEZE! I wanted to get one of my husbands friends to dress up as Batman and make an appearance, but the hubby turned it down (i know Lashawn probably would too) Her way of thinking. "Less is better.." Sometimes i think she is right.. very right.. (now, if i could only abide by it, then life would be great)

So daddy and I took ALex to RED LOBSTER lastnight for her last day of being 6. You can say she has him wrapped around her little finger. When we left she said. " Dad, I had fun on my last day of 6, and all it took was us and some good food" SHe said thanks dad." .. I think that made me realize how great she really is.

My little girl turned 7 today!! I didnt realize how fast it has gone by!!

If you have met her , you would know that she is sooo smart, she loves all animals, she is very polite, friendly, witty,loving, caring, energetic, wonderous, giving and just an overall good kid (throw her brother in the mix, and of course you have someone TOTALLY diffrent) but still.

SHe is my little Mini Me and she is one of the greatest things that has ever happend. I know that she is now growing into a LITTLE LADY and this is only the beginning of great things. But, No matter what comes our way, we will be ready and we will be there for her! I love you ALex!

Littlest Pet Shop....

So Alex's Birthday is on Monday.. and her Theme is Littlest Pet Shop. Not just because they are cute, but because my daughter has LOVe for ALL animals and bugs. I swear that girl is going to be a Vet or Zoologist! Shes the only kid i know who can tell me the "Proper" name for every animal and insect!

It's Been a while...

Since I've gotten off my lazy bOoty and posted something. Its not that I dont have time (because i do), It's just that ive been a very busy bee!

So far:

Rylee has been playing Blastball ( its a smaller form of tball) and his last game is Tomorrow. He is a DODGER # 2..!! GO DODGERS!!

Alex will be turning 7 on Monday.. Boy has the year just floated on by! Not only is she growing up, but she is becoming more intelligent and beautiful everyday.. She is having a Littlest Pet Shop party @ one of our fave kid spots in town. Its going to be a BLAST.. if the anxiety and the heap of kids dont get to me first!

My dad was in the hospital and I had to go help him for a week. His appendix was on the verge of rupturing and had to have emergency surgery. I wasnt so worried because my friends Dad was his Surgeon and took good care of him.. BUT...Two days after his release he got pneumonia and had to go BACK to the hospital for another week! (that was the longest week of my life). not just because i was in a hospital most of the time, i mean.. it dosent bother me about being in a hospital, my mom works the E.R. so im used to being there. But its the fact that i had to take care of a 49yr old man. I LOVEEEEE my dad to death, i wouldnt know what i would do without him, but something about a SICK WHINY Dad that makes you want to hide under a rock for a month!

Rudy has games on Every Monday (baseball). He has a few more games till its over!
So other than that.. we are just Trying to ignore everyone and catch up on our Family time. (dont take it personally)- cause some people do!!
Rudy just works alot and we try to stick together as much as we can when he is home.

Halloween was great. Rylee was a UPS man like his daddy.. and Alex was a Bumble Bee. Rylees costume was such a hit, that UPS is putting him in their Western Distric Newsletter for next month! I will make sure to show everyone!

So thats it.. everything that has been going on.. Ill be sure to keep updating and blogging more.. cause you know.. its not like i dont have the time :D

Alzheimers...

So Rudys grandmother passed away 7 days ago. She had Alzheimers for 11 years. Exactly the same year that Rudy and I met, so i regret that i never fully knew "HER".. What i do know, is that his grandfather stuck by her every single day of her life. He set his schedule around her. Everything revolved around Mary, Although she couldnt speak, walk, feed or clothe herself anymore, there wasnt a day that went by that she wasnt dressed up and looking her best... You knew that what they had was True Love.. We loved grandma very much and we will miss her dearly!!

Rudy and I are walking in Memory of her this year at UTA in Arlington. It is an Alzheimers Association walk on October 4th at 8am... We will start our team page soon and I will give it to anyone who is interested to donate or just check out what it is about. Alzheimers is a terrible thing and I hope that nobody has to go through it. Its devastating to lose a loved one, and much more that for years they didnt know who you were anymore!

So instead of fixing up and working on my Own blog.. Ive been busy reading other peoples.

It is fun to see how diffrent people are. The way they live, their family and beliefs, what they make and their talents... It makes you think how you've been living all these years. And again, it makes you think you're not as crazy as you think you are.

So anyhoot, im going to TRY and fix my blog and start posting soon.. I also want to add a daily picture as soon as i get my new camera..
