Biopsy...

So as long as I can remember I have always had "Cycle" issues. So after months and months of not wanting to deal with it, I went to get checked. I had a Pap done and she said that my symptoms seem like endometriosis but that everything looked fine.. She put me on B.Control to see if it would help with my symptoms and I would get a call only if something was wrong....a few weeks later.. Friday to be exact.. I got that call. They said that my results came back Abnormal and that I need to get a Biopsy done on my cervix as soon as possible. So ..My appt. is tomorrow...

Now, I have to say that Im not very surprised at my results coming back abnormal. All of my aunts on my moms side Including my mom have all had to have a hysterectomy before the age of 30.Im just stressed and hoping that it all works out and that it is nothing too serious. Maybe Im just being a little over the top about this. But One can only worry, right?

We will be praying as well!!! Hang in there Amanda...I had a cousin who went through this. They scared her to death and it was nothing. Keep the faith!!!

I just had one in Feb. A partial...still have my cervix. I feel much better now even if it took a little while for me to heal. But largely that is due to impatience on my part. I cannot tell you how nice it is not to be in pain like I was, and not to have "my friend" come visit every month or more often... WHO named it "my friend"??? That's what I wanna know.

I will keep you in my prayers, too. The technology is amazing, and the techniques give you more options. And less down time as long as you don't try to do too much like I did....

Thanks everyone for your encouraging words and support. I did have my biopsy and My results came back that I had mild dysplasia and I was rescheduled for a sonogram to see if I had endometriosis. My sono came back looking okay but based on my biopsy results and constant pain and cycle issues they want to do a Laparoscopy. The doc said that it was a very painful procedure but that atleast they could eliminate anything that was wrong. I have to continute to go back every 6months to check dysplasia. I also have to option for the procedure now or take b.control/get pregnant, which they think will help with my symptoms. Im not ready for another child, so I will be taking B.Control to see if symptoms get better without procedure! Thanks for listening and hopefully it all works out!
